#PenToPaper: Word by Word, the first #PTP course in 2023, runs 8 weeks from April 22nd to June 17th.
The main goal is to keep your pen moving (or your fingers typing), making sure we don’t allow time for our inner editor to toss in doubt about the stories we create.
Early drafts are always rough but peer-to-peer feedback helps us see places where our work shines and our stories begins to take shape.
Weekly curriculum goes live every Saturday, and you can follow the modules at your own pace. But mark your calendar with the dates we will gather on Zoom for a live face-to-face meeting. At each Zoom meet up, four writers will have an opportunity to read their work aloud. This is a fun, low-stakes course, suitable for emerging and seasoned writers.
Registration for returning students is $175. For new students, the fee is $200.

Hi Christi, I’m an octogenarian child psychologist who’s published with major Egyptian publishing houses for and about kids and their parents and now want to branch out. Currently my husband and I are self-isolating in Indonesia. I wonder if you could tell me about possible times and dates for this program. Also, how many people are in the course? Do you make comments about individual pieces? I may not be able to get the books you suggest: will that be a problem? I write all sorts of genre, especially poetry. At the moment, however, I feel that my creative juices have dried up and everything I have in my computer (over 600 poems and 60+ kids stories and 3 kids’ novels) is mediocre at best. Do you think I might find this course inspiring? Please stay safe. Thanks, Dr. Mandy
I will be out the country Sept 28 – Oct 12. Can I make up the classes when I return.
